New SSL Certificate Deployment

1. Open “Server Certificates” in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
   

2. On the right-hand side, open “Complete Certificate Request”.
   

3. Complete all fields as described:

1. Attach the SSL Certificate (.cer file from the AO) (.cer file may be in an archived zip file from the AO that needs to be extracted first).
   
2. Add a Friendly Name, usually the Fully Qualified HostName of the server.
3. Leave Option 3 as “Personal”.
4. Click “OK”.

4. On the left-hand side, select “Default Web Site” under “Sites”.

5. On the right-hand side, select “Bindings”.
   

6. In the “Site Bindings” menu, select “https” and then “Edit…”.

7. Under “SSL certificate”, assign your SSL certificate. It should be listed under the drop-down menu.

8. Select “OK” and you are all done!
