Filtering Messages(Jurors) on Pools tab

The Message Filter

Another way of manipulating the Juror List is by using Filters. Filtering allows you to hide jurors based on the criteria you select. Appear offers three ways to filter what is displayed on the Juror List. You can filter jurors based on their assigned Inbound Reporting Instruction message, the existence of their home (primary) phone number in the Appear database, or their next appearance date as entered in JMS. The filters and the controls/settings have been grouped into their own boxes for clarity.

As you progress through a term of service, many jurors might have an Excused, Disqualified, Deferred, or Service Over message assigned. Since you no longer need to maintain jurors with these messages, you can “filter” them out with the Message Filter. This allows you to focus only on those jurors you still need to manage. Below the Message Assignment Bar is the Message Filter, which contains the Msg On/Off switch, which simply turns this feature on and off, and the "Message Filter" button, which allows you to select your filter criteria.

Selecting Your Message Filter Criteria

       1.    To configure your message filter, press the Message Filter button.

       2.    Then, select the messages you would like to have filtered/displayed in your Juror List.

      3.    Then click OK and turn the Msg On/Off switch to On. You will now be able to view only the messages that you have designated in the Message Filter.
