Appear Message Types

Appear utilizes three types of messages:

 Inbound Reporting Instructions

Messages that jurors hear when they call into your court’s Appear system or see when checking their instructions on the internet.

 Outbound Messages

Messages that jurors hear when Appear Speech calls out to each juror or see when receiving email or text message alerts.

·        Bulletins

Messages that ALL jurors hear when they call into your courts Appear system or see when checking their instructions on the internet. (These messages can be replaced or be played in addition to Inbound             Reporting Instructions when turned on. They are typically used when the court is closed due to extreme weather conditions, holidays, emergencies, etc.)

VoiceMetrix pre-records the first two types of messages per the customized Call Flow designed with your courts jury personnel. All of these messages are assignable to jurors you select and configurable with a combination of four separate dates or times for each specific juror. In addition to four configurable date and time variables, Appear also offers up to two configurable numeric or word variables. Appear Speech then plays these customized messages back to each juror when they call in for their instructions or when Appear sends out customized text messages or emails.

In addition to these pre-recorded messages, Appear contains a feature that allows your courts jury personnel to record their own messages as needed for specific situations. This Ad hoc feature also allows you to select which Message Type you are recording, Inbound Reporting Instruction, Outbound Message, or Bulletin. You have complete control of this feature.

Appear also has the ability to play Bulletins in place of or in addition to Inbound Reporting Instructions.
